Welcome to Newaygo County Parks.  The Newaygo County Parks System includes a marina and four county parks with day use and camping opportunities.  To enhance your outdoor experience we are surrounded by the World Class Muskegon River, North Country National Scenic Trail, 4,000 acre Hardy Pond and the 538,000 acre Manistee National Forest.

NOTICE - Now taking reservations for 2008 season

Newaygo County Parks Administration office is now taking reservations for seasonal and nightly campsites and for seasonal boating slips for the 2008 camping and boating seasons. Reservations for each park will be taken at the Parks Administration office until the park opens; then reservations may be made at the individual park location.

NEW FOR 2008
Diamond Lake County Park

The Newaygo County Park and Recreation Commission voted in February 2008 to allow seasonal camping on six (6) of the full hookup campsites at Diamond Lake County Park.  The fee is set at $900.00 and reservations are now being accepted.

Host Campers Needed
Do you enjoy camping and helping people?  The Newaygo County Park and Recreation Department is seeking applications from those interested in becoming host campers.  Host campers may volunteer on a monthly or seasonal basis.

Host campers would be provided a campsite at the campground they are assigned.  They would assist the manager in a variety of duties that may include providing information to others, organizing camper activities, performing campground maintenance, patrolling the campground/park, etc.

If you are interested in becoming a Host camper call 231-652-9298.
