2012 Camping Season May 11th - September 30th
 Nightly reservations will be accepted starting January 3rd, at the Newaygo County Parks Administration office. Seasonal reservations

 are being accepted now.

Located approximately 6 miles north and west from the City of White Cloud, this park is the most recent addition to the Newaygo County Park System.  The Park was previously developed by the Steelcase Corporation as a recreation area for its employees; we currently lease the facility from them in anticipation of the Newaygo County Parks Departments pending purchase.  Now you to can experience this 156 acre park with 2000 feet of frontage on the sparkling waters of Diamond Lake.  Adjacent lands are owned by the Manistee National Forest.

The campground currently offers 60 campsites of which 24 are full hook-up (water, sewer and electric) and the remaining 36 sites are electric.  There are two bathroom/shower buildings and a shelter building that can be reserved.  Additionally the park contains a sanitation station, play areas, swimming beach, horseshoes, beach volleyball, hiking trails, picnic area, boat rentals, enclosed shelter building and nearby boat launch.

Birch Grove Trail
 Enjoy a hike in Michigan’s north woods.  Starting from the trailhead at Diamond Lake County Park, adventurous hikers may trek forth on the 10 mile, circular, Birch Grove Trail.  This trail through the Manistee National Forest passes through the only wildflower sanctuary (Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary) within the entire National Forest System.  Birch Grove trail also connects with the National Park Service’s 2,000 mile long North Country National Scenic Trail.
