County Clerk

Passports

The Newaygo County Clerk's Office is a designated Passport Application Acceptance Facility. We will process your passport application and forward it to Passport Services for an issuance determination. Only Passport Services can make that determination. We cannot.

The Passport Card is a wallet-size card that can only be used for land and sea travel between the United States and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.  The card will provide a less expensive, smaller, and more convenient alternative to the passport book for those who travel frequently to these destinations by land or by sea.  Passport Services anticipates the card will be available sometime in the spring of 2008; however, U.S. citizens can apply beginning February 1, 2008.

Customers may check the status of their pending passport applications online or by calling the National Passport Information Center 1-877-487-2778.

Application Process Times
