Meeting/Minutes/Agendas

 

Regular meetings of the Board are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.  (Exceptions:  The Organizational Meeting of 2012 will be held on January 3, 2012, at 9:30 a.m.,  the March 28th meeting is moved to March 29th, and the August 8th meeting is scheduled at 1:00 p.m.) The meetings are held in the Commissioners Meeting Room, located at 1087 E Newell St, White Cloud MI 49349.  Changes in schedule are posted at the front entrance of the County Offices Building.

The following committee meetings are held in the Commissioners' Meeting Room.  Changes in schedule are posted at the front entrance of the County Offices Building.

FINANCE - meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.   (Exceptions:  The July 4th meeting is moved to July 3rd, and the November 7th meeting is scheduled at 1:00 p.m.)  Commissioner Patrick Gardner is the Chairperson.  Committee members: Barbara Geno (Vice Chairperson), Stanley Nieboer, D. Charles Trapp, and Simon Scholtens.

  • Audit - Budget - Contractual Items - Personnel

PUBLIC SAFETY/JUDICIAL - meets the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m.  Commissioner Stanley Nieboer is the Chairperson.  Committee members:  D. Charles Trapp (Vice Chairperson) and Simon Scholtens

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.  Commissioner Adam Wright is the Chairperson.  Committee members: Stanley Nieboer (Vice Chairperson) and Patrick Gardner.

 

Citizen Appointments to Boards or Commissions

 

  • Persons interested in serving on county boards or commissions may apply for appointment by submitting an application to the Newaygo County Clerk.

  • Positions are published for available openings in the Fremont Times Indicator, and as indicated above.

  • Interviews are held during Board of Commission meetings, and are scheduled by the Administration Department.

  • Appointments are made at a subsequent Board of Commission meeting.

  • Applications are kept on file for a 1-year period.
