Housing Numbering Division
The Department of Building Safety

the first priorities was to establish an ordinance to promote a
uniform house numbering system through-out Newaygo County.
On December 27, 2000 the Board of Commissioners adopted
resolution #12-022-00, the Newaygo County Uniform
House-Numbering Ordinance.
Besides issuing house numbers, the
Department also corrects any house numbers that may be incorrect
and oversees the naming of roads or streets.
Some of the major projects we have undertaken include
re-numbering Maple Island Road and Croton-Hardy Drive,
establishing an up-to-date list of all road names within the
county and correcting problems found on the Street Centerline
Database.
