ASSISTANT
FRIEND OF THE
COURT
Newaygo County Circuit Court Services is seeking applications to fill
the Office Assistant position within Friend of the Court. This position
performs varied secretarial and support functions. Duties include
preparing and processing orders, forms, legal documents and
correspondence; filing; responding to procedural and/or case inquiries
from clientele; receiving and receipting payments; and entering case
information.
High school graduation or equivalent is required. One year of prior
clerical/secretarial experience, preferably in a court or related legal
setting. Advanced coursework in data processing and legal secretarial
areas is preferred.
This is a full-time position with
benefits. The annual pay range for this position is $24,587.68 to

DEPUTY COURT CLERK
The
Newaygo County Circuit Court is seeking applications to fill the vacant
Deputy Court Clerk position. This position performs a variety of tasks
to assist in processing Circuit Court civil, domestic, and criminal
cases. Serves as courtroom clerk by attending court proceedings as
directed. Creates notes on court proceedings, and ensures that notices,
orders, judgments, and other documents are prepared timely. Assists
attorneys, parties and others by providing counter assistance and
responding to telephone inquiries. Oversees and participates in the
review of documents for compliance with court requirements. Responsible
for processing Personal Protection Orders (PPOs) for the public and
conducting interviews with clients.
High
school graduation or its equivalent is required. Two years of
experience, in a court, law office, or other legal setting that has
provided familiarity with legal terminology, processing of court cases
and data processing is strongly preferred. Prefer experience in a
Circuit Court setting. Applicants must be qualified to be sworn as a
Deputy County Clerk.
This is a full-time
position with benefits. The annual pay range for this position is

Newaygo County Central
Dispatch Director
Newaygo County is seeking a highly
motivated individual to undertake the position of Central Dispatch
Director. This position directs a 9-1-1 emergency telephone system and
centralized emergency dispatch center responsible for dispatching all
police, fire, first responders, and ambulance services within the
County. Responsible for the selection and maintenance of all
communications and other equipment and the coordination and integration
of technical systems including telephone, computer and radio interfaces.
Responsible for all administrative functions of the department including
financial and personnel management, including the direct supervision of
all Dispatchers.
Possession of a Bachelors Degree in
criminal justice, public safety administration, telecommunications or
other area related to emergency services with coursework in management
and data processing. Five or more years experience in the operation of
a fully automated central communications system, including two years in
a supervisory capacity.
The
annual salary range for this position is $47,912 to $56,371. You may
